Okay, y’all, I need some theories here. The Mayor waved at me TWICE today. Not once—TWICE. First time was at the stoplight by the diner, and I thought, “Okay, maybe he’s just being friendly.” But then, an hour later, he waved at me again outside the hardware store. Is he running for re-election? Does he think I’m someone else? Does he need me for some kind of secret town mission??
And let’s not forget, he didn’t do the casual wave—it was the full arm-up, windshield-wiper style wave, like he really meant it. Am I being recruited for something? Should I wave back next time? And if so, HOW enthusiastically?
Anyway, I’m not ruling out that he’s just lonely, but I feel like there’s something deeper at play here. Thoughts? Conspiracy theories? Help me out, Albemarle! 👀
